Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Mana Yamaguchi and I am a native Japanese freelance translator based in Brighton UK, specialised in IT, marketing and business with over 15 years' experience and a qualified member of the Institute of Translation & Interpreting (MITI).
I work as closely with my clients as possible because I strongly believe that understanding the purpose, message and target audience is crucial to tailoring the translation or transcreation for each situation.
I also use the latest technologies such as Trados Studio to maximise my efficiency and maintain consistency throughout a large project. I am committed to my own CPD as well as sharing knowledge with fellow linguists. I am one of the founding members of the Brighton Language Collective and also acted as a judge for the ITI's Japanese Network (J-Net) Translation Contest in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
I also work in partnership with a native English translator, who is also a qualified member of the ITI for Japanese to English translations. This ensures the highest possible quality by enabling me to incorporate the subtle nuances of the English source text into a fluent and natural Japanese translation.
